Our Story

Welcome to HB Glass, a pioneering company founded in 2020 with a vision to reshape glass recycling and filtration solutions. Our journey began when the local waste management leader, The Waste Trade Company, identified a significant gap in glass recycling within the automotive industry. Through extensive research and development, we discovered a growing demand for glass filter media in a variety of industries, including water treatment and aquatics.

With a clear vision and a deep commitment to innovation, HB Glass invested heavily in
advanced manufacturing technologies, resulting in the establishment of our state-of-the-art facility in Gqeberha, South Africa (formerly Port Elizabeth). This cutting-edge plant is the
cornerstone of our operations, where we produce high-quality glass filter media that meets the highest global standards.

Since its inception, HB Glass has successfully supplied bulk quantities of premium glass filter media, gaining recognition for our export-quality products. Our ISO 9001 certification
underscores our commitment to continuous improvement and quality excellence, ensuring that we meet the ever-evolving needs of the industries we serve.

We are driven by a relentless pursuit of quality and performance, and our products are rigorously tested at SANAS Accredited laboratories to ensure they meet the highest standards of precision and reliability.
